I, like many of you, have developed a real addiction to HI blades. I wanted to share my newest arrival: the Trisuli Ghaule. This kukri is styled after blades made in the 1800s. While not exact it is a great representation of an antique kukri.
I compaired this 21 inch 34oz TGK to my 21 inch 43oz M43. The M43 is a full polish compared to the villager of the TGK. I've found the villagers are less maintenance but the beauty of the polished blades is hard to ignore.
Now this is telling, check out the size difference of the spines. The M43 has some distal taper from bolster to tip while the TGK has hardly any.
The belly and waist of the TGK is much thicker than the M43.
M43s have always had long handles but the TGK has a shorter more traditional handle. I like mine even shorter with a thin bolster and with more pommel flair but this one will do nicely. Check out the perfect cho on the TGK!
Basically what I'm saying is you all need one for yourselves. Ive seen them in lengths from 15-21 inches. I might have to pick up an 18 incher next time.
