Which ones do YOU think are the best (for a pistol)?

And, equally important, WHY?

Thanks all, it's time to upgrade the sights on my USPc45. In fact, it's long past time...

I really like Heine sights, but haven't had to get any new ones for awhile, so I may be out of the loop now.
I can't say they are the best, but I like the design of them. You can get different configurations on the rear sight. Dots, bars etc.
I don't like any sights on my carry guns that are adjustable. Its just one more thing that could potentially be a problem

My Glocks are just using the factory night sights. They work fine.
I don't think the tritium inserts vary much. IIRC the estimated life expectancy of them is around 10 - 12 years

Trijicon..just because they were on an older 26 I bought recently..and still glowing.

Believe that 33837 is right as to tritium variations..you might have to work hard to get bad night sights from a major OEM, IMHO.

Trijicon...quality.. I shoot a 4x32 and 1.5x16 ACOG and have factory Trijicons on my carry G23... I do have Heinies on my competition pistols but not tritium...

Meprolight by far. I've owned just about every other brand and won't use anything but meprolight. They are brighter than trijicon and their white outlines are not painted on. As far as I know every other sight manufacturer in America uses trijicon lamps... so if you're not gonna buy meprolight just find which other companies style you like... the lamps are gonna be trijicon.

I will say on sight I have looked at is the truglo combo tritium/fiber optic. They seem to be pretty cool. But I cannot attest to their quality as I've never used them. Meprolights are built like tanks and glow nice a bright. I can't really ask for more in a night sight.

Agree, I sell these for a living and vastly prefer Meprolight, brighter, better outline, generally seem to fit better. Its Mercedes/BMW type debate since these are minor debates, but that is my 2 cents

You might look into combination tritium and fiber optic tube sights.

They are the "cat's meow."

I think one brand is "firesights."

I have them on a Springfield XD and I love them.

M.
