I have a Seiko titanium watch that I would love to paint the hands and numbers with tritium paint. Has anyone here done anything like this? Are there services that do this?

Sorry,

There is such a thing as tritium paint, but you can't get it without all kinds of hassle with the Atomic Energy Commission -- completely impossible for the hobbyist.

It is possible to get paint of the Lumibrite family (Luminova & Superluminova are trademarks for the same stuff, though it varies in particle size and what it's mixed with). It's usually purchased in powder form and you mix it with clear lacquer yourself. I don't know a source -- try a net search, if that doesn't help try www.timezone.com

This watch uses Tritium paint (along with alot of other watches from that site). I'm pretty sure he does relumes on watches so if anyone would know the answer to your question, he would. Hope this helps.

You're right. I should have researched it a bit before posting what I believed was true. Thanks for pointing it out. I've changed my previous post to eliminate any confusion.

I think it's more likely Howard buys the hands already painted. He's a member here; I hope he'll notice this thread.
