Got a call from my friends business saying there was a rectangular box waiting for me at his shop! I speeded over there and got my first look at my new Tritonworks scabbard.

The scabard is well done! The leather looks rich and dark. With the sword in there is no rattling at all, but the sword is drawn easilly. The construction of it seems VERY solid, and the stiching is done well also.

The only thing that is bugging me is the clasp that binds the belt....It looks great, the silver of it really looks sharp next to the black of the scabbard, it is however hard to adjust and fit correctly. One of those things that i'll get used to the more I use it I suppose.

All in all it is an excellent piece that I got off Russ for a very nice price! Thanks Russ, I'll get some more pics up soon!
(pictures of it (The Del Tin 5144) on the TritonWorks page: http://www.geocities.com/ramellis/examples.html

Since I was Russ's first customer, I got the guinea pig rate, a scabbard at cost. It was $40 with $10 bucks shipping. (I also got a cool Albion-recycled box from him as well!)

I recommend him totally, the prices are right and he's a heck of a guy to work with as well. I'll be posting some more pics (hopefully soon!) on SFI

Yeah, I'm going to shamelessly plagiarize Albion's boxing system. They are nice and secure, probably the best boxes I've seen.

Also, I've decided to start building a library of patterns so that if you want me to build a scabbard for a sword that I have made a scabbard for before you won't have to ship me your sword.
