Those are stunning. The good Sargent sure can make a khuk with some clean lines. I'm jealous:o

Wow!! Does he still make them for order?

The good Sgt., last i knew, had to close his shop for awhile due to losing helpers and other obligations.
Although he sells thru H.I. when he has high quality Khukuri, he has never worked for H.I. as one of our kamis.
When he has something to sell, we will usually post it for sale in the DOTD.

Beautiful work, down to the smallest detail. The wide flare at the butt is great.

I can see how the hollow forge makes this a great chopper. The blade won't get stuck in the wood past the bevel. Do the newer bonecutters by other kamis all have the hollow forge, or was that feature a specialty of Sargeant Khadka? I've seen pictures of newer bonecutters, but the hollow forging doesn't show up in most photos.

Also, if it's not too much trouble, could you post the weights of those three?

Dude, nice hamon. Intentional or came out naturally?

The hamon is well defined and quite consistent. I think I'll lemon etch my Sgt Khadka CAK to see the hamon line myself :)

I've got a 15" siru by the sgt and it's incredible. It's probably the purestest fighting khuk in my collection. Our late friend Rusty used to talk about his 12" siru, Audrey, that was a real bloodlust blade. This siru of mine is like her big sadistic sister.
He really makes an incredible khuk:)

From the seller whom i've acquired these monsters, he pulled a "Dashain" with the 22" and the blood stayed on the blade. Now if you ask me i would patina it with french mustard, rinse and dry for at least a few hours before hand-rubbing it with 1500 grit or above. The hamon will show almost immediately.

I thought i felt the earth belch a mighty quack.;)
It seems i took these tums in error. :o
Welcome, Jim. Good to see you and your Durba fetish are alive and well.

i keep hoping the good Sgt Khadka comes back, i want more one and only Bonecutters from him. esp the 12 and 14 incher, and a 22 incher. one day. no hurry.

One can always hold out hope that someone, somewhere will lose their head and put one up on the secondary market. :D
