Hello all,
I just got some 3M Trizac (spelling?) belts and they work very well on steel, lasting a lot longer than the regular belts I've been using.
Interestingly, when I tried them on micarta, they burned the micarta. Fast or slow speed, heavy or light pressure made almost no difference. I haven't tried wood yet.
This is not a big deal. I can keep using the regular belts for handle shaping. Mostly I'm curious why they behave this way. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Bob Couture
