trizact scratches

When using trizacts, and I get to the A6 grit, which is supposed to be about 2000 I think, most of the scratches buff out easily, but there are quite a few that seem to be in the 600 grit range. At first I attributed this to coarser grit scratches that I missed but after using one on a blade that I scratched after it was already polished, I realized that I'm getting these scrathches from the A6 belt. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions or solutions would be appreciated.

Thanks

I had that happen with other belts while working S30V, and it seemed to be due to getting water on the belt, which in turn collected the accumulated dust into particles that scratched the blade. Wiping the blade after the cooling water, eliminated the problem.

Trizacts, unless you are using the new ones, are not waterproof and shouldn't get wet anyway.
