would someone kindly tell me what trolling means also the thread i wrote on buck knives was a joke I thought that was pretty obvious

I suggest you behave if you wish to remain a member here.

trolling is exactly what you have been doing in several of your posts here.
This thread was moved from the General Knife discussion forum to service and support although it should have been moved to W&C along with your silly Lynn Thompson thread.

Both of you..knock it off. This is not the forum for your battle of "wits". :grumpy:

TROLLING = If you have information, opinions, or make statements that may be upsetting to forum regulars. So if not the actual 'approved' definition this is in fact the way it works in the real world.

In other words...do not go to a Chevy forum and say anything negative about Chevy's at all. If you have a question that could be interpreted as against the status quo or drifts away from the 'groups' silently approved politically correct statements you would be wise to phrase things as if you were speaking to your mother-in-law.

If you do not believe me check this thread out:

Good-luck in learning from my mistakes. LOL!

Peace

It can be done - but it must be done fairly and accurately. Saying "Small Block Chevies are designed for production requirements and not outright performance, according to Smokey Yunick.", and then examining bore/stroke ratios, cam bearing support, distributor location, and firing order, and the knowledgeable will understand your point. Aftermarket suppliers all sell improved products to compensate for those weaknesses.

When someone expresses emotional assessments in slanted language that seems to be a final judgement not fully thought out, well, then it starts.

My son informed me that a certain longstanding political figure was a "retard," based on his viewing a number of youtube videos. The quickly ensuing discussion pointed out that 1) regardless of that, he certified as a combat aviator, 2) he made enough money in business to buy a professional sports team, 3) he advanced through a complex political process to become chief executive, and was reelected. I felt that the term "retard" was excessive and inflammatory. I don't accept it as a description of his predecessor, either, although he was pushing it in his wife's campaign.

Point being, language and the way it is expressed make up a lot of the printed word and how it's interpreted. A forum is printed opinions limited to black and white letters on a page. Pronunciation, alliteration, and oral tone are completely left out. You have to be careful what you type and how you type it.

Chevies aren't (fill in your favorite expletive,) they're just low price, volume production enhanced vehicles for budget constrained, multi-location housing residents. :D

Use that smiley!
