Due to the latest Nozhiness, I decided that it would be a good idea to post his history here, so that all Busse Fans realize what/who they are dealing with. This relates to Busse knives as this individual seems to think he knows better than anyone on BF about everything knives.

Basically Vasilli puts people on ignore when they disagree with him more than a few times.

Since I know that this thread is going to get locked sooner or later, I will lock it now. Also this will prevent Nozh from reading my post which should burn him since he has me on ignore. haha.

My head hurts from trying to understand his logic. He really does latch onto a stance and stick with it, no matter how clearly and plainly he is wrong.

He's the type of guy that would argue with you until he's blue in the face that water isn't wet.
 
He does come across in a very weird way. Its like a superiority complex. I would invite him to one of our chop fests because he lives in the Bay so we could show him how to put a proper edge on a knife but I really dont think we would get along after reading some of his posts.

I am not a fan of how all of his "experiments" are the end all be all. It is very hard if not impossible to get him to concede to the fact that he could possibly be wrong or that his methods are flawed. His tests to me are a bit difficult to get in terms of there accuracy.

I do alot of testing on my own, and form my own conclusions. I really encourage others to do so as there results could be different than mine. I really get frustrated that some of the more inexperienced or newer members here take what he says for gospel and dont question his findings and there accuracy.

Its not just about Busse knives, its about all knives and all steels.
 
He knows what a sharp knife is. He has videos to prove it. They actually arent bad videos. I just dont think he puts the right angles on them. Unless you use them for kitchen knives.
 
I can't make heads or tails out of what he is talking about, most of the time. I have a warden that was convexed and it isn't as tough (the edge) as it was from Busse, but it slices great and it's easier to sharpen. I don't do any heavy chores with it anymore, by heavy chores I mean pounding it into wood or prying. I have plenty of other non-modified Busses for that.

I had nothing in particular against Nozh until I tried to explain to him that his tests are not testing different types of steel so much as they are testing each specific and individual knife in that type of steel and, as a result, did not have the value that he thought they did. Larrin, usually on Nozh's side in those old threads, thought the same as I but that didn't stop Nozh from telling me "you're wrong" and not much else. What bothered me about this is that I made a point to tell him that I thought that his tests did have value... just not exactly in the way that he thought.

After that, I found I didn't have much else to say to him.

I'm locking this one as this is not what this forum is about. It's not necessary to attack, throw insults towards another person or what they do with their knives.
