Guard post

In side of guard house, a wood rack on the wall with 9 lugs, it should be for 9 Arisaka type 38 rifle. It is a Squad size post. There is a square hole in the center of the house, I guess it might be an irori hearth (Sunken hearth), It is too big for a grenade sumps

Killer photos man!

Careful eating ginger and make sure its an edible variety. I know theres some ginger varieties here in Hawaii that will make you sick if you try to eat them.

Wow! Thanks for the photos. That looks like a very rich, very historical jungle.

This place got heavy bombardment by US force back in WWII, this depot was the major supply base for all the south asia /pacific regoin.

Chinese nationalist force withdraw from there in 1985 due to hard to deal with and managment this large jungle looking place.

Local said many soldier on guard duty got lost in somewhere and can not find the way to return his station. some said that Japanese men (ghost)still
around here.

This place is quit spooky, some building and bunkers my dog would not go inside or get close with .

Last year Army had clear some place for training, then 6 months later these place all reclaim by Jungle.

Erlkonig, hola

Good stuff. Bananas, brilliant, I think man has only just scratched the surface of how good bananas are.

Did you make the sheath for the fixed blade?

WOW!! What a neato thread. It'd be neat to dig around in those compounds trash areas and see what you could find.

I'd be real interested in camping there.

Wow that looks like a really fun trip. I love exploring old buildings. I think the best part of your post was seeing that slingshot in your kit. I don't see much about people using them regularly. Thanks for sharing! :)
