trouble deciding on model

basically what I'm looking for is a 522 presidio ultra with a 154cm (or d2) blade, but they all, as far as I can see, come in 440c. the 530 axis would be excellent if it wasn't for the shape of the grip. last but not least, a griptilian with g10 scales would be good, if it wasn't for the liner changing the feel/weight. outside of what I'm about to list, that should give an idea for my taste. are there any models I'm overlooking? price range is below $150 (kills me to spend that much on an edc knife with how I use them) don't want auto/assist on this one as I've been getting too many of those the past few years, blade length is somewhere around the typical 3.45"-3.5" of a lot of benhcmades and would rather not go below 3.25", 154cm, spear or drop point, partial serrated (don't throw rocks at me! it works for what I use them for) grip that has more typical curvature like the presidio or griptilian, and g10 or similar material... not interested in aluminum/frn etc. actual weight of the knife doesn't matter, it's the weight distribution of the non full length liner I'm looking at getting away from on this one. thanks for any suggestions you may have.

What about a Ritter Grip (RSK Mk1)? Does not meet the partially serrated criteria, but it can take a serious beating and i think meets all your other criteria.

well, they still have the partial liner from what I can tell, I like griptilians, but I like the feel of the full length liner. I was thinking about getting a griptilian anyway, and getting g10 scales for it... but it looks like they tend to be twice as expensive as the knife, lol.
You could find a bone collector that would meet your criteria.

thanks, looks like some places online do still have some of the axis version in... looks like there are probably 1,000 versions of the bone collector, lol.

Honestly, it sounds like the 950 Rift will fit the bill.
154CM blade at 3.67"
full liners
contoured G10

Also, the new HK Axis knife might work:
HK 14715
D2 blade at 3.69
full liners
G10 scales

Haha. I should have been more specific. Model 15020. Axis lock, G10 scales, D2 blade. Discontinued though but probably easy to find.

oh I meant finding them in online stores, I figured you meant that model, lol.

if I could find a 950 rift for a good price I'd definitely be interested in picking one of them up. the hk looks a little funny to me, but could fall in love with it if I handled one. thanks for the suggestions.

I just got a 950 in yesterday that I will sell you. I've sent an email for a return slip but I can only get store credit.

Couple yrs ago I tired of the weight of the 520 I was carrying so I bot a new 522 and swapped the scales. I sold the unwanted half, and kept the hybrid you're looking for. Used a lot since, but not much recently. Scales are indestructible they look brand new w/ cleaning, the blade is a satin PE w/ a lot of visible use. I'd planned to flatsand the blade, acid-etch/s'wash but if you might be interested in it as-is that'd be fine, within your budget. Email me if so. BTW it also has a set of threaded stainless steel hex standoffs that I made for it-- looks good!! (save for the scratched blade haha).

522/520 is a GREAT lightweight alternative to the 520!

it's probably going to be a month or two before I make a decision on what I get, and I appreciate the input and offers so far.

What? You didn't like Rift???
Hard to believe, eh? I guess there's no accounting for some people's whacked out tastes! (just razzing you, bluemetalchurch!:D) Seriously, there are some folks whose hand size puts the pinky part of the Rift's grip in the wrong spot and makes it uncomfortable.

After handling the knife this weekend the handle is really growing on me. :)
