Trouble posting pictures

Why is it so hard to post pictures on this site that is a pay to use site when it is so easy to post pictures on a free sites like Woodbarter? I admit to not being very tech savvy but one should be able to post pictures from their computer to this forum without having to go through other sites to do so. Making it difficult, without having a person to talk you through it, is very discouraging to me and other old farts like me. I intend to voice my complaint to Daniel on the phone and when I see him again in person! Had it been known there was no easy way to facilitate adding pictures of knives for sale I probably would not have paid to participate in BladeForums. I firmly believe if you correct this fault your business will increase because of it, not every knife maker grew up with a computer.
 
They can be attached fairly easily... the problem is that the quantity is limited, and there doesn't seem to be an effective way to remove pld attachments.
 
The easiest thing to do is use a dedicated photo hosting site. Photobucket is free. Flicker is free, imgur is free. You open an account, start uploading your pictures, sot them into albums/categories for whatever you want them to be. Knives, guns, people, pets, places, nature, whatever.
 
Yes, just as RevDevil said set up a host sight. It should eliminate all of the issues you are experiencing.

Sorry Robert, but for the record Bladeforums doesn't write the software for the forums. It's a product/platform that many forums use. There have been some problems with morons trying to hack the site, and fixing stuff is not as simple as installing a Windows update or turning on a light switch. One small change in one place can create big issues in another. Spark works really hard to make sure this place stays up and running securely, and agonizes when the glitches pop up. He is well aware of the problems but there is only so much that can be done, I'm sure it can be easily fixed, but look up the rates for computer programmers, hourly (coders). They make more in one hour than many of us do in 4-6 hours of work, and still there are no guarantees. I feel your frustration, and as someone that works in the IT industry I can personally attest to the problems with database servers. They are one the single biggest pains in the ass when something goes wrong, finding where is half the fun. Hang in there.
 
I would suggest you find out who does Woodbarters site, have an auction, with site users makeing donation for the auction, so you can get rid of this God awful product/ platform and get one like Woodbarter. That site is so easy to use it makes this site obsolete and you never have to leave the site to post pictures from your PC. Kevin started that forum and it is a real winner. You would do well to stop trying to patch this site, can it, use his site as a model and start over. In the long run you will be dollars ahead and customer satisfaction will go through the roof with little to no complaints.
 
Guess what! tried to print some of the suggestions you recommended, so I can read and do at the same time. Now my printer will not stop printing the same thing over and over!! Had to up plug the new HP Officejet Pro 8610 to stop it because the printer does not have a cancel all feature, just cancel each page feature. Computer and printer are now going to the Geek Squad to see if this crap can be stopped!!!!!!!!!
 
How about you just open a new tab on your browser? Then you can jump back into this to read as you sign up for photobucket.
 
Signed up with Photobucket last night. Want do anything else until I can get the printer to stop. As I said before you shouldn't have to leave this site to post pictures because I do it on a regular basis elsewhere. It is all about the bottom line, not customer satisfaction, and living up their expectations.This sound like sour grapes but it is not. I just know what a trouble free site is capable of and if you have experienced one you compare it to other less friendly sites.

Robert, you don't need to go to geek squad to stop your printer. You should be able to go into your computers control panel, pull up your printers hardware and stop it from printing by by finding the "cancel all documents" function. Send me an email with what version of windows you are using and i'll see if I can help you get it stopped.

To late the windows 10 computer and printer is on the way to the to the geek squad and I'm on my old trusty windows 7 where you can easily find the control panel or any thing else you want.
