Been having trouble trying to do searches. It either gives me an error and tells me its sent an e-mail with the problem to you people..or it just gives me a page cannot be displayed.

so much to look up here, i hate to post questions that have already been addressed.

Try to be a bit more descriptive. What are you searching for.

I've been having a similar problem with the 'Search' function. After I hit search, I always come up with:

There seems to have been a slight problem with the BladeForums.com: The Leading Edge of Knife Discussion database.
Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser.

An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

Edit: Appears to have been fixed, nevermind.

If you don't tell me what you are searching for, I can't try to narrow down what's wrong. When you just say you are having problems, your problems don't get fixed.

It doesn't matter what I am searching for, I don't get results just the message he has posted:

I'm searching for reviews on different knives, like Gerber hunter, Buck Alpha, CRKT Plan B, ect

I'm not having any problems with the topics you've listed - they are all pulling up responses for me.

It's possible that you have a cached page in your system causing the same information (vB error) to display over and over again.

I just cleared my temp files and tried another search for 'warlord' (old Cold Steel blade :D) still getting the error

Warlord works just dandy for me. What browser are you using?

Yes, that is a requirement. We're starting to shut down features for non-registered folks browsing the site, as an incentive for them to actually register.

Well, that solves the mystery.... Spark, can you change the error message it gives to the "not logged in" error message? That would save a lot of confusion, and also unless you can do that it's not going to accomplish the intended purpose.
