I have 3 dmt stones 6x2 which work great for my folders, but when i try to sharpen my bk-2 for example the knife is such a tank it moves the stone all around. Could any of yall recommend me a stone to sharpen my beckers. Thanks

What do you have under the sharpening stones? I put the sticky liner you can get for your cabinet shelves under my sharpening stones and it does a great job of holding them in place. Hope this helps.

yep i recommend the sticky liner material we use it on the shelves in ambulances it will hold the stone steady!

yep. that, and don't push quite so hard.
3M shelf liner. ALL over the ship.

Some knives, especially thick knives, can benefit from thinning the edge a little. I recommend, for pure speed purposes, a 4' wide belt sander with a flat surface you can press against. It now takes me mere minutes to thin a 1/4" blade & once sharpened, shaves hair & paper, yet still holds it's edge & has not rolled yet. I am 50 now & don't have much patience anymore. I hand sharpen AFTER i get the blade edge where i want it. :D

Check out those KME sharpeners Moose is always shilling for, those things work amazingly.
