Trouble shooting two flashlights: Fenix TK20 and Fenix E21

I really like both my lights, and have tried to the usual Google it routine, but still a bit unsure what to do. Although both lights have been carried, but not seen too much actual use, but right now here is the situation.

1] TK20 Suddenly won't light up. Thought it was the batteries. No batteries. Everything appears to be ok. Looked inside, but no moisture or apparent problem. Not sure if I should guess that it is the bulb and try replacing it, or if I should think the lamp assembly (not sure the right terms).

2] Fenix E21 The rubber clicky cap fell off somewhere. Not sure if I need the whole tail cap assembly or not. Tried holding in the switch in the back which the cap was attached to but it does not take well to that with only a momentary lighting.

Getting frustrated since neither of these has seen a lot of action, and I was just about to list them both for trade for an LED light.
All thoughts appreciated.

The first thing to do would be to make sure the contacts/threads at the head and tail are clean. You can use a little bit of rubbing alcohol to make sure they're clean. Take the tail cap off the E21 And make sure the switch assembly is held tightly within the tail and doesn't rattle. It looks like both of tail caps are nearly the same so the advice above applies to both lights.

Edit to add that these both are LED lights

Thanks for the input. I will try those suggestions. I thought these were both incandescents? Guess it is obvious that I don't know my lights.

Ok on the tk20 try a 1/4turn more tightening on the tail cap and the head end. I am not familiar with the other one,but fenix usually ships with extra rubber boots, check your packaging if you saved it.

Progress :)
TK 20 working fine now

E21 not yet. No extra rubber clicky cap. If I press in the button the rubber covers and hold it in the light comes on very feebly and then stops.

I had my PD32 stop working on me a few days after I got it, I disassembled it and put it back together and it worked fine, so my first bit of advice is take it apart and put it back together

as for the rubber tailcap, my pd32 came with spares, might want to email fenix ans see if you can get more.

Also you might want to give the tail spring a little stretch outward as well.
