Trouble with Kershaw Volt SS

I picked up a Volt last week. Immediately I noticed that the liner lock was very tough to disengage. Tough enough where I'd have to press on the lock with darn near all my strength to get it to unlock. I tried to loosen it up but it actually got tougher, the more I used it. I've sent it back to Kershaw and I hope they treat me right. I know it's an inexpensive knife, but it should be safe to use out of the box. Has anyone had problems like this?

I have a volt SS and the lock is good and smooth. I bought a shallot at the same time and it was pretty rough, the shallot is good to go now. I'm sure they will fix you up.
