troubles contacting ellis custom knifeworks?

I ordered some refractory supplies from Darren Ellis a month ago, when they were on vacation. My order got processed over two weeks ago, and he should have shipped it out shortly after. I recieved half of the order a week ago but not the other half.

The reason I'm making this post is, that I've tried to contact Darren unsuccessfully for the past week about the order status. I emailed him last Saturday, again a couple days later, and I called him yesterday and today. It seems strange that I haven't gotten a response yet. Has anybody else had trouble contacting him, or is there some sort of personal issue going on?

I'm probably just getting impaitent because I'm anxious to get my forge all fixed up and running. But it seems strange that I haven't recieved a response yet.
 
He will get to you. He just emailed me yesterday and he is backed up with work trying to get everyone taken care of. Trust me...he wont let you down. Just be patient. Thats the hard part!!
 
He's a straight ace, he'll get back to you. He's been nothing but professional and quick with my orders. He's probably just really backed up.

Good luck with the forge and show some pics when its done. :)
 
I ordered some Satanite last month and it didn't show. I emailed him and he sent out another batch right away. He's a good guy

I wasn't at all worried about getting scammed or anything like that. In dealing with Darren he seemed like a nice guy. I just didn't know what was going on with not being able to contact him. The delay in getting the stuff I ordered isn't so bad as not knowing where it is... that's probably why they invented tracking numbers.
 
Darren had some trouble with fire in his shop awhile back, probably came at the worsttime.he's probably busier than a one eyed man in a strip joint.he's good as gold though.
 
I called him today and got his machine
probably adding to his backed up list..

I'm sure he'll get at it..ASAP :)
 
Khukuri Monster, I an order in a few weeks ago, too, and it took me a couple weeks to get my stuff. Sent a few emails and they just got responded to after about a week. Darren's super backed-up on everything and trying to rally for the Blade Show, I would assume, so I think you probably just had bad timing.
