Troublesome Creek knives, presently being sold on eBay under user name KY KNIVES, proclaims "Designed in Kentucky by an ole Ky boy" and they are imported - naturally, from China (since that's where the USA sells every gram of 420 and 440 scrape metal for recycling in order to bypass stiff EPA regulations - which with China being on another planet those rules would not apply).
They are a decent enough made knife and can be had for a reasonable price - at times. Comparable, in fact, in design and style to those sold under the name Rough Rider - also sold by KY Knives.
Better make that EXACTLY likely like those that were designed and sold in the US under the brand Rough Rider. Same handles, same blade pattern, same name styles, same China - wait. It should be noted that the ones sold under the brand Rough Rider do have that stamped on the blade while those sold under the name Troublesome Creek have something completely different - they're stamped with the name Troublesome Creek.
How can anyone expect there to be any enforcement regarding such matters as truth in advertisement, patent laws, import regulations, yak yak yak - on metal products when EPA - and US Government - turn a blind eye on what's being dumped in China under the lark it's a recycling program.
Ask Customs to do anything other than chase drugs dealers and look for terrorist - are you nuts? USDA, FDA, all you MOUSE Departments. Don't worry about the infant formula, paint on the toys and such. We'll keep count of the body bags, so ya'll can tally it up later on. Ya'll okay with that?
Time for a change nothing - TIME TO GET A GRIP - Time to clean up our own act before we go telling the neighbors how to clean up theirs.
And I know - my times up. Sorry, had to rant there for a moment.
