well, here we go again-

I think this makes knife number 12.

It's a fowling and trout knife with a dropping 3 finger handle and a 3.25 inch blade of 15n20. it's really thin and flexible, tempered to flex a lot.

it's a stock removal with a touch of hammering for flatness blade, finish is pretty much forge, quench, and temper marks, all I did after the heat treating was steel wool it back down.

So far it holds an edge really well, we used it to debone last week when we butchered a duck.

Handle is oak with a slight washed oil stain. I put the wood on raw and slightly damp using gorilla glue ( I found out a nice trick to keep a good glue line at the blade junction) and then I did some finish sanding, after 100 I did the wash stain, after 240 I did a wire brush pass and then coated it with haardener using a full dip with a little soak time. I let it drip and dry for 24 hours and used steel wool again for finishing. not stabilized, but protected :)

Sheath is just a sheath. no hanger, but I could put a scandi/puuko style one on for right or left handed. I figure this isn't a "bush" knife, so I'd leave it in my bag or vest until I shot a bird, bunny, or caught a catfish.

P.S. If I werent' so damned nervous about it, I'd probably sell this one.
