Just picked this up today, kinda on a whim, and while researching them on the web I noticed that there are alot of small differences in the knifes and sheaths.

I was wondering if anyone could give me a idea as to its age?? I think it is a older one based on what I was told by the former owners son in law.

The sheath seems lighter in color and appears to be a softer leather then the few I saw on the web. Also the sheath is bowie shaped to the blade while most of the ones I saw had sheaths more shaped like a spear point.

Another thing I noticed was the lack of star stamps that I saw on most other samples.

The original owner was a avid hunter and went on over 100 Safari's over the years and the knife shows it.
