Truck Bed Liner used for grip?

I have an M48, which I was contemplating how to re-wrap the handle in a better way, and was wondering--has anyone ever sprayed truckbed liner onto handles of hawks, knifes, or any other weapons? Results? The M48 handle is so slick. It'd be nice to make a better grip without necessarily using paracord.

It would probably work - they make products like that already for tool handle application. Sounds interesting.

We have some breaching equipment at work that is coated with bed liner spray. It's very course and would probably tear your hands up without smoothing it out some. I'd recommend skate tape or if you want something more permanent use Marine Tex. there's plenty of how-to's, just google "Glock Grip mods".

“Tracker” Dan Sanchfield did some hawks with it. He told me he actually could not get consistent results with it, some handles turned out good other did not. He stopped used it I think.

Isn't bed liner fairly heavy? I would imagine it would alter the balance and weight distribution of the tomahawk, even for the small amount used...no?

Jon Graham has a bedliner handle on his last couple Ratchel's . Been wondering the same thing.

Jon Grahm has done it with good results. He gets the hawk sprayed and then grinds into the handle to shape it the way he wants it. I thought they looked and felt great.
As for the M48 - being a partial tang hawk I think you would have a tough time getting that method to work. MHO.
