Looking for a fixed blade to leave in my truck. Stainless, I guess, although I prefer carbon or tool steel in my fixed blades. Rockin' a mora right now, any ideas?

Since size doesn't matter, if your carrying in a truck, get a real work horse, something like this http://www.knivesplus.com/QN-SP8-Ontario.HTML
Can't say enough good about mine. If you search around, seconds like mine was, can be had in upper $30's range. Coated carbon steel blade means you just have to keep the edge lightly oiled.

I keep an Ontario Spec Plus Marine in my truck. The 1095 keeps a keen edge, and the 'powder epoxy' coating has proven to be pretty damned tough. It has bounced around and pulled camp duties for years and is none the worse for wear.

Personally I keep a cheap khukri in my truck, but every time I see this query asked I think truck knife=Glock knife.

And we're practically neighbors to boot ;) Rust isn't too much an issue here, it's a "dry" arid :D :D

Well, it's normally dry... but so far this year it has been wet. Heck, we've had probably three or four inches in the last six months... and the humidity now is 40% or so. I don't know how we are expected to live like this. :D :D

I had a couple high end productions in my truck, an Ontario and a Benchmade, but decided to rotate those out. The only FB's I have now are the Mora, another Mora, a Benchmade Ritter fixed Grip, four Swamp Rats of varying sizes, a Barkie, and one custom. All are too nice to leave in the truck, except for the Moras. Well, my Battle Rat has seen a lot of brush clearing, and is too big for the truck. My Camp Tramp is too big, and my HR and Bog Dog are rotated into my EDC carry.

I always have a small FB in my EDC rotation, but would like something better than the Mora in the truck. Those Ontario Spec Plus models are good, but I am looking for something a little smaller.
