Ref: TallPauls custom.I'm Floored.Stunning! Designed by T.P. constructed by CR.Is this a common
practice? Does this mean T.P. has some type of tab on the design. If Mr Reeve were going to make a run of this design. How many would be required to make it worth his while? And the real question, that I am sure no one wants to ask is " How much does A true custom cost? I hate to ask that ques. but I'm curious.
Thanks
Jeff

Well, a true custom would have to be done entirely by Chris and I don't think that is going to happen. Sebenzas are 95% handmade by people that Chris trains and closley supervises. I think that has been a lot of discussion about this in the other forums. Personally, I don't get hung up on the "true custom" issue. If you like it buy it. I have a couple customs and they are nice for sure but the Sebenza is just as good quality wise. With customs you get a wider choice of materials and sizes. I think that Chris got kind of put out by the hairsplitting and the semantics of being a custom maker per se and so he has been classified by the gods that be as a production company. This is a shame because his knives are custom quality and he has a super bunch of people working for him. They are great knives and that is what counts.

Jeffrey,Thank you for your kind words :D The "design" has to be able to be done by the equipment they use to work the knives. I came up with the design and sent a photo of what I wanted and they were able to do it. I believe this to be "my design" but with this particular design it is not about the money for me. I really want the message and the representation out there. I feel that this is not a time to be timid and I like my knives and LOVE my God and to be able to combine the two has been an awesome thing. So far even ladies who don't like knives have been ooohing and ahhhhing. It isn't the knife- it is the well executed and quality of the message. The effect really would not be the same on a "made in china cheapy". My heart for my design is not to be limited but for it to be available for anyone who is able to and wants to buy one... As far as cost and availability - talk to the Reeves. This one at this point should be the price of a unique sebenza plus the almadine inlay...

I thank you for the info.I've just never seen anyone else post a Seb that they designed. I thought the only options were what Mr Reeve offered. To be quite frank, I would love to order a knife exactly like yours. But after
reading how much it means to you, I wouldn't feel right about doing that.
So my friend, enjoy your knife, it is without question, a Labor of love and a work of art.

A few years back I sent in a picture of a large decorated asking if they could do a small with a similar look. The design they came up with was nice enough to be used as the "Line Drive" CGG.

Jeffrey, I think you are missing my point... There WILL BE more of these available- I am having some made, If anyone wants one it will be available... As much as I like it , it is not meant to be kept exclusive, just as the Promise God gave us is not meant for one group of people only but is available to all, although Gods gift is free, I am afraid that I can NOT give these away :( I would be honored if there were a million of these out there BTW.... God Bless-paul
