I'm just curious to know if anybody here uses any of the True North firefighter gear packs for use outdoors? If so, what do you use and give us some feedback.

I'm looking at the Fireball model myself.

Thanks.

I use the Loadmonster for day hikes. It is very comfortable, and it is easy to carry 2 liters of water. I have metal cups in each water bottle pocket, and a 1 liter Nalgene bottle then fits into the cup in the bottle pocket. The pack does not bounce like most lumbar packs, making boulder hoping easier. Sharing the load between my hips and shoulders works very well, so I don't have back pain after a long hike (I hurt my back a number of years ago, and cannot carry a backpack for very long.) I like being able to tie my shell to the top for easy access in case of weather change or when taking a break. Also, this is the most comfortable pack I have ever used in hot (greater than 100 degF) weather, since your back gets lots of air. I highly recommend TrueNorthGear.
