Review True of False?

Long story short..someone found out I'm not half bad at sharpening, so they started giving me their knives so I could practice the "trade" even more, as I only own 6 knives sadly. Today he hands me a Sog and says "a relative was in some certain branch of the military and this knife wasn't made available to the public"

Is this true or false? I've heard of companies doing this before but Sog?!
I know nothing about Sog and I found it interesting this particular knife has a "axis lock"

Not $150, more like $70 to $80. I had one briefly a while back. Super uncomfortable handle for me.

Agreed it's ergonomics aren't the best. Plus the knife as a whole just isn't appealing
