I believe that i have the "same" one, from tru value hardware. Identical shape for handle/head and same size and weight. Mine is marked forged and made in mexico as well as "american" ash handle. Anyway i got it last fall and used it for kindling work and splitting for the woodstove over the winter vs my fill sized ax (or axe!!). The edge seemed to stay sharp and suffered no damage during my short term use. I have not sharpened it cause it came with a good edge.I believe that it would work for limbing as well but have not had the oppertunuty to give it a try. It can be used either one of two handed ( did both); I guess "boys ax" is good enough for old geezers like me as well. I like this and might try it for camp use this fall. I just got a husky hatchet and am interested in comparing the two. Dont know if this helps or not but so far that is my experience.

I enjoyed this ax, as I said I used it for light work and it was enjoyable due to its light wt head and shorter handle. I chocked up and used it one handed inside my basement when I needed more kindling and bad weather outside. Cant do that with a full sized one.

edit to add:
Cant say im an expertr anything but i do plan to thin the blade a little when i sharpen over the summer and i am looking forward to more use this fall.
