True Temper Hatchet Hammer - What size handle?

I am trying something new. I have just picked up a True Temper Perfect Hatchet Hammer. The head is 6-3/4" long, with a 3-5/8" cutting edge. Weighs approx. 1 3/4 lbs.
I haven't re-hafted one of these before. What would your advise be on the size of handle I should use for this. I am thinking of giving it to my son for camping.

I'd say 14-18" probably.

Measure the eye, then check out House Handle. They will have something in the 16 to 18" range to fit it.
