Hello and good evening fellow axe aficionados, do hope it finds you well. I'm just shooting into the dark here but does anyone have any knowledge of the Vulcan line from TT KW? I have a nearly NOS example of the single bit in a Jersey pattern & ill be damned if I can't find a single other example of it online. It resembles the wood slasher in all but color and stamping. It's actually up for grabs on fleabay as well should anyone have interest. Thanks in advance for any information yall fine folks may have.

Unfortunately i have & had no luck uncovering any relevant information. I do appreciate the link and advice though, thank you.

Vulcan was Kelly's hand made line (along with Kelly hand made) and runs about medium quality, I have a 2 1/2 pounder. Once TT took over they were all drop forged. Kelly works means it was made in the Kelly factory, not off-site and it's made after 1945 depending on the stamp's location. Does it say Charleston anywhere?

I wonder if they have Kelly perfect steel on a normal head

It lacks the word Charleston anywhere upon it, merely True Temper
Vulcan
Kelly Works
It's a number 4 upon the pole and a number 5 on bottom of the toe

Thank you for your axe auction progress updates!

Agent_H, truly is my pleasure to be welcomed into this community as warmly as I've been. Likely others here have experienced varying degrees of negativity soon after admission to similar online communities & have hence developed hesitation about seeking admission, I know I have. I'm rambling, but simply mean to say its been a wonderfully pleasant suprise.
I'm at fault for not doing my due diligence to determine if sharing the auction link was an admitted move but I'm glad I haven't managed to violate any rules nearly instantaneously.
I'm terribly blue bout having to part with most all my humble collection but the joy at the impending arrival of my first child far outweighs it. I just wanted to try a little harder than is common to spread the knowledge about the opportunity to aquire this particular piece as it's been a damned challenge to find so much as a photo of another one, and far as another in comparible condition? Faaaaagedddabooout it
