Picked up this wood slasher today, just wondering when manufacture would have been. I don't see any stamps on it unless there's one under the label. Does anyone know anything about Kelly or when they stopped stamping their heads? I don't even see a weight mark. I'm guessing from the looks if it and the handle that it's 60's ? What do u guys think? The head has the ridges in the eye, three on each side. No matter it's in great shape and doesn't look to be used a whole lot and the handle is original and in great shape. Good ol flea market find.

Yeah you know. The raised ridges that run vertically inside the eye? I don't know what the exact term or name for them. And I didn't see any other marks on the axe as of yet. I suppose there could be some under the label.

Typically seen on the woodslasher line. The other marks like C31 or similar - I have no idea what they mean. I would assume distributor specific but I'm not sure.

I'm tempted to peel the label off n redo the axe head, clean it up then paint it original. The handle is pretty much mint and I think just a light sanding and BLO would do the trick. I know the axe probably doesn't hold much value on the market so I'm thinking I'll hold onto it and use it.
