So I don't want to out anyone that doesn't want to be "told on" but I got an email last week asking if I was still searching for a Necker. I said yes but I was low on funds from some other S! purchases. He proceed to tell me he had something for me to drop him my address. I asked if he found me a Necker. He went on to explain he had a safe queen (yes his prize to keep in perfect condition) he was willing to part with. I said I couldn't pay him right now. He said "Just try it out, and tell me what you think. If you don't like it mail it back."

I just want to give the biggest thanks to this anonymous person. And there won't be a check in the mail. (I use pay pal) However, when I receive your gift it will be headed your way, and I hope you get as much or more use out of it as I have. (I own one already, this one will be new)

Thanks again Texas_toothpick

Love this knife!!!

I'm hoping to see another thread in a week or so from someone thanking an anonymous someone (you) for the gift - with a picture of said gift so I can figure out what cool gadget you are giving this dude.

Pretty cool people in the higher-end knife world.

That's pretty cool. Just another reason why I like the Survive! Knives group. Just a bunch of cool, like-minded dudes that share a passion for knives and the outdoors.

I know. I couldn't believe the kindness and sharing I've seen through the Survive! group.

Exactly

That's an awesome story TT! A gentleman here sent me a set of malice clips to fiddle with for attachment setups, no strings attached, just pay it forward. This is a great corner of the knife world and I'm sure glad to get to play here. :)

UPDATE: so I received this necker from another BF member and he said "try it out and let me know what you think" well I love it. The next week I received another necker in the mail. So to pass on my good graces I decided to give one to a friend. My buddy and I went on a 3day camping trip. Only knives we took was two neckers, my necker II and two multi_tools. (Bad drought, no fires) he used it all weekend for all his camp chores and was surprised to find it was still razor sharp at the end of our trip. I hope I've made another survivor out of my buddy.

Here's his pack and new necker.

P.s. my necker was the only thing I used as well. I loved how easy it was to grab and use and stow away.

It's nothing super cool but once he receives the package I'll post a photo. And tell what all was in there. I hadn't forgot him just took a lil bit to find what I was searching for. After finding out it was discontinued I changed my color preference and got it for him.

Hope he loves it as much as I do mine.

Houston to visit my brother... driving to Big Bend tomorrow (9 hour drive)... Crazy LOL
Too bad I don't have my GSO 5.1 to bring on this trip.
