Got a nice knife with a Damascus blade for Christmas last year, I know you can order these from many a site and I know it is a Pakistani blade, so I don’t expect much, but so far it has a good edge, and I am going to see how it does in EDC mode the next few days.

So far it holds an edge ok, stays sharp but I have had to strop it a few swipes to get it back to where it will snag my finger nail. Used it to open presents and cut up a small box. More to come after visiting the relatives for more Christmas presents. I am also carrying my Buck 55 I cleaned up and sharpened, I got off the exchange.

I agree, it is a good looking knife. The blade work looks great, so does the filework on the back spring, and I dig the herringbone handle scales.

Thanks, the size and feel reminded me of a lighter Buck 112, I know you can get these online and I believe it did say Pakistani steel used by the maker, it came with a quality leather sheath a small steel in a loop on the sheath. They put my initials on the bolster. So far I like carrying it, and the file work is pretty but not over the top, the handle is a good herring bone (?) pattern. I think it is decent steel as it holds up pretty good.
