Try to become a Smith any tips

Check in the knifemakers section. Also perhaps buy a book or two on the subject.

I'm not a knife-maker but there are a lot of custom makers around here that have used nothing but common sense and the knowledge
found on the internet to become quite successful knife-makers. Sure, they've had pointers and lessons from the pros and the greats, but the vast majority of their skill-set was gained from doing their own research and hammering and grinding in their own shop.

Seriously check the custom makers/ knife makers section here on BF though.
Bunch of humble guys and straight shooters with tons of knife making knowledge :thumbsup:
