i put another piece of the 1075 that was cut too wide to use by making this knife. the overall length is 11 1/2" with a 4 5/8" handle. the edge is 5 5/8" long. the steel is 3/16" thick x 2 1/2" wide. i put a short bevel on the right side and a longer bevel on the left. it has a convex edge that is shaving sharp.

Pretty interesting looking knife, nice clean lines. I like it.

Just out of curiosity, why the asymmetric bevels?

i wanted to try something different just to see what it would look like how it would do cutting. i havent cut anything other than newspaper and it cuts straight. a friend eats a lot of block cheese so i might let him try it out to see how it cuts. the short bevel should kick the slices off to the side.

Yup, i like that one

Its pretty similar or the same as the one you sent me the pics of ?

i changed it since i sent you thoes pictures. i cut the spine down some more. i also made a meat cleaver but it has more of a sheepsfoot look to it.
