Does anybody have any experience with this seller/retailer?

http://cgi.ebay.com/Emerson-Knife-C...emQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item2ea6f3ddc6

I was looking into getting a7A....found these satin which seem to be hard to find. I do not like the way "Action Concepts" is etched into the other side of the blade.....was this done by them or by EKI?

I assume that they are not fakes, but don't seem to be selling like hot cakes. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,
JT

They're the real deal, and James is a great guy to deal with. They are a special edition done for "Action Concepts" by EKI. Buy with confidence.

I have one of those.... #91 of 100

Fantastic knife.... probably the best production "utility" tactical that Emerson has ever put out... mine is flawless. Locks up solid right before the tang arc, lock isn't sticky, centered when closed, smooth to open, and probably one of the sharpest production folders I've ever had.

Get one while you can - James listed the rest of his remaining stock on eBay at reduced prices.

Hey guys.....thanks for the info, will get one ordered. Not real crazy about the additional advertising that is on it, but the price seems pretty reasonable. It also seems like 7A's are hard to come by these days....especially in satin.
Cheers,
JT

If you had a choice, what would you get, black or satin? Does it just come down to personal preference, or are there benefits of one over the other?.....sorry for what may seem like a dumb question .....just trying to learn a little bit before I purchase.
Thanks again,
JT

If you are going to use the knife, the newer 'stone washed' satin finish would serve you well. The 'old' satin finish is actually a durable coating, but it will scratch off as will the black coating. When buying, if you want to go with satin, specify that it must be the stone washed variety. That said, I like all the finishes. :)

I bought # 67 from them.
The deal was as perfect as I could want.Great seller. The knife has became one of my favorite folders.

Sweet, I just won a 7a #85 from him. I have the bt finish currently, but have wanted a satin and the deal was too good to pass on. I'm hoping from that pic that he has a run of stonewash 7a's coming. I would get one of those asap.

SWEET!!! I should be receiving my 7a from him tomorrow. I'll drop him an email and see if he'll share any details. I would take a tan handle, stonewash anything lol

gstrand, you don't mind that I email James do you? I wouldn't want him to know that we were discussing it if it was supposed to be privileged information.

The next Special Run is going to be a CQC-7B-SF with Desert Tan Handles (hopefully coarse finish). It is a Tanto, plain edge, no wave, Stonewash Finish. There will be only 50. The back of the blade is going to say "Alius Pro Ego." Should be ready for sale in about three weeks.
