Hi guys, I'm looking at another axe. Wondering what my next buy should be... I have a Husky Hatchet, A Fiskars X15, and a Wetterlings Large Hunting Axe.

OK, so I've narrowed it down to three.... So please don't add another option (PLEASE)...

Gransfors Bruks Scandinavian Forest Axe

Gransfors Bruks American Felling Axe

Council Tools Velvicut Bad Boy's Axe

So hard to make a decision.... Maybe I should get all three...

Of those 3, the Council. It's a more useful axe.

The GB Scandi is very specific- limbing, bushcraft stuff. The GB Feller is way too expensive when there are tens of thousands of actual american felling axes with better blade geometry out there. Don't get me wrong, I love Gransfors, but I use their tools specifically for what they are meant for.

The Council is a quality axe that can do almost anything. Felling, chopping, splitting, small stuff. What do you want to do with your new axe?

Hah well I have always bought/seen them in person, so I've never ordered online. I live not far from their base of operations.

You can also buy from Omaha Knife through eBay if you'd prefer. Feedback and all that.

I went with a Council Bad Boy's Axe from OmahaKnife. I'll post pics when he gets it to me. Thanks.
