I am posting it here only because my e-mails sent to StriderGuys@striderknives.com directly didn't received an answer. Please, I just want to know.

"Dear Sir/Madam

I am an Italian knife collectionist and (I would say) expert. I am a member of Bladeforums, where I am registered as Falcenberg.

Being Italian, I know some Italian brands that makes knives, as Prezioso (known as Camel), Conaz, Saladini, Maserin, Beltrame, Virginia, etc., and some Custom makers as Ballestra, Mariani, Pachi, Sinibaldi, Sanna, etc. And FOX Cutlery from Maniago.

I saw the new line FOX presented at Shot Show, and I read the posts some other members of BF wrote (as Simonich). It seems there are problems about the shape of some blades, the cord wrapping on the handle and the striped camouflage on the blade. Another friend of mine, who sells knives in Germany, said the same things, and added some news about rumors on a legal action against FOX from you.

I got married on February, 24th, and when I was back from my honeymoon, when I was reading some old threads in BF to up-to-date myself, I read some almost rude posts in a thread in your forum too from some members.

I am not linked to FOX in any way, if not for having some of their knives. I just want to know what really happened, because for what I know FOX is a serious company, and because being Italian I am sad to read bad things about Italians, so I want to know if FOX actually makes something wrong.

I phoned to FOX too, and they told me they spoke with your Mr. Duane Dwyer, and all was OK. If I can tell what I know about striped camouflage, I saw it on blades from Extrema Ratio (an Italian company, but I don't like their knives and their marketing policy) since at least 4 years ago, and the cord wrapping is used by Ek knives in their Desert Storm models since 1991.

Please, let me know what happened and if there are any problems.

Many Thanks for your time and attention, I am looking forward to hearing from you soon. Sorry to be so annoying.

Falcenberg"

Mr. Carlo,

I tried replying to your email both times you sent it. However for some reason, your address did not work. Hopefully you will get this message.

You ask a good question. A motto of ours is; "Loyalty above all else, except honor." It is obvious that this is not the case with Fox Cutlery.

1. Yes they are copying our work. This is called commercial deformation. It is wrong.

2. Yes I did speak with them at the Shot Show where they acted disrespectful and denied knowing anything about our company at all.

3. I never said "all is OK" to any of their people.

4. You are not annoying at all as you stated in your earlier email.
Please do not hesitate to contact me here or personally at striderknives@aol.com for any info or help in the future. I sometimes delay in answering, but I try very hard to answer inquiries and am very happy you found us here.

I wish you all the best, and thank you for your interest.
