Hi I have this old knife and have been researching but can't seem to find a similar knife from say, sold ebay auctions, or anything else pictured on the internet.

It came from the estate of a WWII US Navy Dive Bomber Pilot, and was given to me by his late widow.

If I can figure out how to to post the pics, see my pics for the measurements and the Kabar logo. There is no plate on the handle with the Kabar logo or any evidence of there having ever been one affixed to the handle.

As for the logo, I have read about a "script" logo and is that what my knife has? It looks like print to me and with no hypen as in KA-Bar

Anyway the knife has no other identifying marks or numbers. The handle might be bone, but all is clean and tight and with very minimal wear. I'm not an expert on knives but it has the best lines and feel in the hand and I wonder if it is a basswood whittling knife or rather a knife for whittling and carving maybe as the late owner was a master of many trades and arts.

Thanks, John.
