0801 FTW!
I have an original version 0801 and find it amazing. The ergonomics are fantastic; for me the BEST of any knife I’ve handled. The current version is even better, with less angular margins.
The action is perfect with a sweet-spot combination of detent, blade mass, and flipper geometry. The knife also carries smaller than one would think based on size and weight, due to clip positioning and scale contour.
The 0801 is a bit thick behind the edge and a bit heavy, but sometimes that feels good! Even though the current production is a bit lighter, I haven’t “upgraded” because I really like the faux bolster look of the original.
The 0920 has fantastic milling and is light given it’s substantial size. It flips well in its own right, but without the magical resonance of the 0801. It’s 20CV! While I think it’s a great knife, very well priced, and a major “In your face!” to the current invasion of Chinese TFF’s, the recurve kills it for me.
TL;DR—The 0920 is a great knife. The 0801Ti is even better (even if a bit less glamorous).
