Going back to carrying a fixed blade and want something light like a skeleton blade for front pocket carry. I've always liked the Kephart blade shape on the Beckers, and the steel is good. Trying to decide between the BK11 and the BK24 D'eskabar. Prefer D2 over 1095 simply 'cause of the slightly better rust resistance in the very humid local weather, and I'm not fond of coated blades eventually looking all banged up, but either will work. The big thing is that I want something I can get at least part of my 4th finger on when gripped. I have medium size hands. BK11 is 6 3/4" which I like from a pocketability standpoint, but the BK24 is a tad bit longer which might help with the grip. I may eventually make a set of thin scales for the knife if it bites my hand while cutting wood.
The only other knife I'm considering is the BRKT Bravo Necker, but I like the looks of the Kabar a lot more.
Any thoughts?
