im trying to decide between 4 knives benchmade mini griptilian, spyderco delica 4, sog trident, and ka-bar fin. Any advice as to which one would be a good choice? :)

I would go with the Benchmade but the Spyderco and SOG are nice too. GOOD LUCK! Kevin :)

it would probably be the delica for me. im not a big ka-bar or sog fan so that rules them out. i love benchmades and spydercos both but i do occasionally hear of an axis lock failing on some benchmades but i have never heard of the delica's lock failing!,,,VWB.

I have a ps delica and i love it. Get the Delica.....however my next buy will be a mini grip. Best of Luck

The mini-Grip and Delica both make good EDC's.
Both have excellent steel and excellent fit and finish.

I prefer the lockback over the axis lock, so the Delica wins there.
I like the blade shape on the Mini-grip a bit better.
But both of these are personal preference.

You can't go wrong with either of these. Flip a coin.

Amusing - I just looked at the same question after watching the EDC thread for some time

I have a minigrip on the way and may get a delica as well.

The other question is which mini? Cabelas D2, Ritter or standard. I did the ritter because I want a non threatening tool, rather than black blade tactical. (there is a thread on this if you are interested). A number of experienced users seem to have all and be happy with them all - basically because of the design, and that they all have good steels. However there seems to be a marginal if noticable preference for the Ritter on relatively small differences on blade angle and steel.

Personally - though over here I will not EDC either around the city, and agressive looking knives are to be avoided anywhere
