Trying to decide

It’s been awhile, now I’m trying to decide between: scrapyard regulator, ratweiler or a Gemini. The blades seem similar but the handles are different. It’s going to be a user in the field, camp and possibly another deployment. Then it’s between INFI and SR101.

That’s what I’ve been leaning towards. I just haven’t decided if the INFI is worth the extra money. The only regulator I’ve seen in INFI is the AR 9.5.

SR101 Ratweiler...beast of a blade! I have xl hands and it fits fine. I just acquired one a few weeks ago and haven't had a chance to use it, but I believe it could handle anything that you could throw at it and be ready for some more....just my .02

How does SR101 compare to INFI for outdoor use? I know it’s more prone to rust but I’ve heard it holds a keener edge. Which is easier to maintain an edge or hold it longer?

They're all great. I usually carry my Ratweiler instead of my TGLB just because the Rat looks more "outdoorsy" rather than "tactical".

Out of the 3 my top two are the Regulator and the Ratweiler. Price wise, they both tend to be cheaper than the TG’s.

My favoUrite....it's a user and so easy to care for with the acid finish.

I have a Test Team and Military Over-run, as well. Need to find a Flat-Ground Reg to strip

What’s the thickness on it? I saw one that’s .33”

Parkerized is a c-hair over .30" - if I recall, correctly, my Test Team is right around the same (need to dig it up to be sure).

The Mil Over-run is .33"

Of the three you listed I would take a TG every time!

Of the three you listed, I’d go with the TGULB.
Of the three of mine I would have choose from, I’d most likely go with the TGULB.

I went with a regular scrapyard regulator, we’ll see how she does and how I like the handle. Maybe down the road I’ll upgrade but I’m sure I won’t NEED to.
