Trying to find a Commander

I've been lurking around the forums for a little while now and finally had something to post.

As the title implies, I've been trying to find an Emerson Commander. I've taken a look at a number of online retailers, but none of them seem to have it in stock. Any suggestions on where to look? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello there. I believe Discount Knives currently has the plain-edge black-coated Commanders in stock. Check them out at www.discountknives.com/index.html

Good luck! I ordered my Commanders from Knifecenter (another online dealer) about a month ago and still no word...*sigh*...

Moving Target: No luck at that site. They have the combo set that includes a commander, but I'm on a somewhat tight budget (meaning that there are other knives that I'm looking at too and don't want to spend on something I'm not looking for). I've ordered from knifecenter in the past. Very quick delivery to where I live, but then again I'm not that far (about 30 minutes or so) from their College Park, MD location. I've got a Spyderco Bob Lum tanto on backorder, another knife that seems to be rather extensively backordered.

Nightglock: Yeah, I get the impression that Emerson must be swamped with backorders based upon all the sites I've visited, all without luck. Either they're listed as out of stock, or the company simply doesn't list whether or not something is in stock.

I did see some nice prices on stuff I'm interested in at the Skyland Cutlery site though . . .

This may get me a lot of grief

but have you tried on eBay. The prices are usually below retail, but no guarantees. At least you know you have a shot at one.
