Trying to find a nice quality folder with a bottle opener. Kershaw Funxion is nice, but pretty thick for my tastes. I'd prefer something that has the opener integrated into the body, like the Kershaw shuffle, only a bit larger. Any ideas? Thanks.

All waved Emerson knives, the wave functions as a bottle opener. The Emerson EDC-1 has an actual bottle opener and a few useful tools. The H.E.S.T Folder also incorporates a nice bottle opener.

I like the thinner Vic SAKs and use the bottle opener on mine every time I have a beer in a glass bottle. Their bottle opener also has a flat head screw driver head that is quite useful for low torc functions. My standard use is to open the HVAC return grills with one for the screw type or to save my fingers with the little lever type. I open quite a few of them and always have the tool of choice in my pocket.

any knife with g10 or carbon fiber scales will work. Its no different than using a lighter, you just have to figure out the leverage. I use the inside of the scale on the steel liner on my sage 1 to open beer tabs (I have no finger nails), and the outside of the scale on the pivot end to open bottles. This doesn't mark up the scale if you do it correctly.

DPX HEST folder.

Edit to add: I guess I should say +1, to agree with the post above me:)

Emerson with wave feature, I believe. Lone Wolf Enterprises, I think, also has a collab with Spyderco Endura which has a blade with a wave feature...and a Glock tool.
less than $100.

id go with a SAK....imo the SAK and Bic lighters are two of man's greatest inventions LOL

This Leatherman Crater has a folding carabiner that doubles as a bottle opener. I've owned this blade for a while, takes a nice mirror edge

Like others have mentioned: DPx Gear HEST/F 2.0 and Emerson Wave.

Unfortunately, they cost quite a bit more than the Kershaw Funxion.

If you want a SAK with a larger blade try the Swiss Soldier's Knife.

Let me add a +1 to the Alox SAK. I have an Electrician I like, and it has a bottle opener on it.

But, to open the discussion just a little bit, I find that I use the bottle opener on the back of my Leatherman SkeleTool CX (clipped to my left front pocket) far more. And the knife blade is sweet, a 2 3/4" plain edged liner lock made of 154CM steel.

I personally carry a vic rambler on my keychain and use the cap lifter on that. This allows me to rotate the knife in my pocket/on my belt without losing the cap lifter.
