Hey guy's first post here!
I'm a new Knifemaker living in Utah, and am looking for experienced makers in the area who might let a fellow knife lover learn some things from them.

P.s. I met steven Johnson of srj knives last year, he lived 30 seconds away from me for 12 years and I had no clue haha. Asked him to show me some things, but he incidentally was leaving out of state for two years :(

You can use the search engine in the stickys and search Utah. You also can get a copy of the KNIVES Annual book and look in the back where all knifemakers they have information on are listed by state and by name.

If I still lived there I would love to have you over. I moved back to Washingtion 1.5 years ago

Look on Sanpete.com under artisans it lists a few knife makers.

Gil Hibben is from that area, he started a bunch of world class knife makers. Here are few that I can remember, Steve Johnson, Harvey Draper, Buster Warenski, Jim Ence, Dennis Friedley, John Young, Jerry Johnson, Julie Warenski, the genealogy goes on and on. Sadly, some are not with us any more.
