Trying to fix my Dad's old barlow

Hey there everybody,
new to the blade forums, just started today actually.

Anyways, my Dad and I a while back found his old Case Barlow knife
If I remember correctly, it's a late 1970's model, it has red delrin handles and carbon steel blades, and boy did he use it... both blades are worn down and have been reground at some point, the main blade is worn to the point that it is maybe 1mm longer than the pen blade.
called Case and was told that the blades that they use now are tooled differently and would not fit in the old barlow knife...
So I'm on here asking for any suggestions or if anybody knows a way that I can get this knife fixed up for my dad, if at all possible I want to stay with carbon steel blades, anyway, any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as both him and myself would like to see it with some use able blades so it can be carried again
I'll have pictures tomorrow as I need to take some still,
if it helps the number on it is "62009 1/2"
thanks again,

Maybe buy one just like it on eBay and then have a repairman cannibalize the blades off it to put on your dad's old one. That's pretty cool what you're doing, by the way.

Oh -- and welcome to the forums!

Or, have someone make new blades.
But it would really be much cheaper just to buy a replacement knife.

Hey,
thanks for the warm welcome,
I actually found an old Imperial PROV RI pearl celluloid barlow at a killer price, so I guess that will be a replacement, and the case goes back in a box, at least my dad was happy he found it, i think he's going to use it to open packages and such,
thanks though
