Trying to gauge interest in a new sharpening/de-burring tool

Hey guys,
Not trying to turn this into a sales thread, so I won't be discussing pricing or anything, but I've recently been redesigning an abrasives platen that I made some time ago, and I got to thinking that others might find it useful as well.

I like to make knives and tools, and often found myself using abrasive papers to sharpen and/or de-burr them. The standard method of taping or gluing them to a piece of a glass or a surface plate seemed a little clunky to me, so I made something that I thought would more resemble a bench stone and be a little more convenient to set up at the same time.

I made a couple of vids that show the general usage/idea that I'll link below as well. If you guys could let me know what you think, or rather if you might find something like this useful, I'm thinking about making a handful of them.

I am sure price is important to interest so you might as well ballpark it.

I haven’t nailed down a specific price per piece, but it’ll be well under $100 shipped, if that helps. Likely more than $50 though. There may be a couple of other little accessories that I’ll include as options in addition to. Those may impact price slightly as well, but they’ll be reasonable.

I have too many bench stones myself , but would be a handy tool in the shop for sure.
Keep us posted when you have some prices set , this is a great idea .

It could be good to post this in the knife maker forums as well. I really like the idea. I’d be most interested in using it for flattening scales. I’m tired of taping sandpaper to my plate!

Looks like this one... Just larger which would be perfect, but I would like to see some sort of tensioning method ideally.

Love the size though!!

Hadn't seen that one before.
I've played with a few ideas for tensioning the paper in the past, but they never seemed to work any better than tensioning by hand, or using the feathering adhesive to keep the paper tight on the edges. I'm still rolling a couple of ideas around, but I don't want to over complicate things.
