Hi,

I am trying to find out info on an old lockblade knife, I am almost sure it's a schrade. It is a lockblade knife that has some kind of draw system where when you pull it from the sheath it opens the knife....? Anyone familiar with this model?

thanks again!

That Sheath is not a schrade sheath. The knife could be any lockback. A pic is needed. There was a sheath like this being sold a few years ago. But it had nothing to do with Schrade. There are some other possibilitys but again a pic would answer what it is. LT

It was a specific knife that had this sheath/feature, the sheath only came with that knife and it was a mass market item...seems like you would clip the sheath onto your belt loop and it would catch the blade some how and you just pulled the knife out and it opened the blade as you drew it...I could have sworn it was a shrade, I seem to remember it being sold at Sears...I don't have any pictures though...

The CRKT Merlin sheath does that, but it's a fairly new product and works with most large folders. There's also the Merlin II which will be out soon if not already.

Someone over in the Buck forum said these sheaths we're selling on ebay for the Buck 110. I did see one listed there a couple months ago. That may be what you saw.

someone used to advertise this sheath in the back of magazines specifically for buck 110 and similar knives

thank you for the help, I showed the sheath to my friend and he said that it was what he was looking for...I was remembering an old knife that sears sold that has a plastic sheath with a nylon belt and clip attached to it...thanks again!
