I am trying to replace a nice, small, folding knife I gave to my wife in 1986. I just bought a Buck PRINCE, and it is very close, but not quite as handsome. The missing knife was, like the Prince, small, folding, rosewood handle, nickle end caps. After searching online, I thought it might be a Prince, but the new Prince is not quite as rounded as the knife I remember. Photos of the current Squire and Knight do not look quite right, less so. Any ideas?
ps; I also own a 43 year old 110. I don't think it is even stamped '110'.

Thanks. Close, but no.The handle was straight, with no finger detents. The blade was also straight backed, unlike the 110 folding hunter or the 55. It might have been the Squire, but that does look quite right. Might have to buy one to see.

By no detents, you mean it wasnt a lockback? Was it only 1 blade or multiple? Perhaps it was a 700 series slipjoint, the 704.
Did it have a Buck escuteon(sp?) plate in the scale?

It was a lock-back. Single Blade. By detents, I meant finger grips,a scallopped shape to the handle. The Prince or possibly the Squire look very similar, but not exact. I was wondering if there might be a discontinued knife that was available circa 1985.
