Trying to identify a couple of old knives

My grandfather passed away about 5 years ago. Ever since I was a very little boy, he had used the same pocket knife. He said that it had been given to him by his dad when he was a little boy. When he passed away, it was the one and only item of his that I requested.

I was given 2 knives. I am tying to establish the age and model of both knives.

The first, I believe, is a 834 stockman made between 1946 and the mid 1970's. 834, while rubbed away, is visible on the blade. It also says SCHRADE NY USA.

The other, I have not yet been able to determine the model, or the actual age. It is about 3.5" long, just slightly shorter than the stockman. Printed on the blade is "Schrade Cut Co Walden NY". It does not appear to be arched, which leads me to believe it was made between WWI and 1946. It has a normal blade (unsure of the proper name) on one side, and a file with a weird shaped blade at the other side. The text on the "shield" is worn off, and the shield itself is actually an elogated oval

Here is a size comparison of the 2 knives:

Does anyone have any ideas as to the actual age of these knives, and what model the smaller one is?

while not being able to help i know there are those that can here. two lovely knives that have been cared for over the years. so that a blade shape does not have to change due to age and being carried. thanks for sharing.

The 834 stockman frame is 3 5/16 inches closed. Your example was made sometime between the summer of 1973 and possibly up to maybe 5 years later, no more. The other knife you need to measure again. The odd blade is a manicure blade. You can identify it from one of the catalog pages, 1926 or one of the supplements up through the 1940 supplement at this site: http://www.collectors-of-schrades-r.us/Catalogs/index.htm. Very nice knives!

Think this it it. Pg 34 of the 1926 cat. $9.34 per doz in 1932.
