Hello everyone! I traded for a very beautiful knife yesterday and I cannot find anything about the maker. The knife is stamped D. G. Wood. I have searched all over the net but I am at a loss. It seems to be very high quality as well as attractive. It's about 12" long and has file work all over it with abalone inlay. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There's lots of requests to ID a knife maker But few look as nice as that one.

It looks like it took some skill to make. The maker doesn't seem to have a presence on the Internet.

It's hard to research on the net. If you search for "wood" and "knife" in your search string, you get thousands if results. I might need to ask Levine if he might know. o_O

So DG Wood was my grandfather. Who inspired me as a maker. I actually use the same equipment he used back in the early 80’s. His brother was Bill Wood(w.w.Wood makers mark). My grandfather was named Dale G Wood. That was probably one of his earlier knives before he had a stamp. Either way, I am very interested in the knife.
